On 21st June, Swire Pacific Cold Storage ("SPCS") launched a new cold storage facility in Xiamen, its sixth facility in Mainland China. The Xiamen plant, which is 65% owned by SPCS and 35% owned by Xiamen Haicang Investment Group Co. Ltd., covers an area of 56,000 square metres, and is being built in two phases, starting with a capacity of 22,000 pallets in Phase One. In line with Swire's commitment to sustainable development, the facility was designed in accordance with the best environmental technologies available within the industry. SPCS is dedicated to offering customised services that promote better food safety standards for Chinese consumers.
