Swire Coca-Cola has announced a major new investment in the sustainable management of beverage industry waste in Hong Kong. The company forms a joint venture with ALBA Group Asia Limited and Baguio Waste Management & Recycling Limited to operate a state-of-the-art recycling facility for plastic waste in Hong Kong. The facility will be Hong Kong's first dedicated polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE) recycling facility. It is expected to commence operations in the third quarter of 2020 and will be built at the EcoPark – Hong Kong's recycling and environmental engineering hub at Tuen Mun. (Click here to learn more)
