Freshwater conservation

Swire Coca-Cola Taiwan has been working with Wetlands Taiwan since 2015 and has taken part in a number of environmental projects in southern Taiwan. Since 2020, the company has been involved in a project in Yuanjhong Harbour Wetland that aims to reclaim and purify wastewater discharged by two nearby treatment plants and use it for plant irrigation, in place of municipal fresh water. After three years of construction and testing, the scheme is now producing approximately 334 tons of purified water a month – representing an equivalent saving in the use of precious freshwater resources.
