John Swire & Sons Limited has recently acquired WesTech Engineering ("WesTech"), a water treatment solutions company headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah. With additional US offices in Iowa and Massachusetts, as well as international bases in Brazil, China, India, Italy, Mexico, Peru and South Africa, WesTech provides specialist solutions for water and wastewater treatment, liquid/solids separation, and biological treatment in municipal, industrial, and minerals markets worldwide. The acquisition is expected to enable WesTech to diversify and accelerate its strategic development and the business will also provide significant synergies with Swire’s existing water-treatment subsidiary, Purestream Services, which is also headquartered in Salt Lake City. The move reflects the Swire group's commitment to invest in and grow companies that contribute positively to the environment and facilitate sustainable development.
