Staff of John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Limited celebrate Pink Friday.
In November, staff at Swire businesses in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other Asia Pacific locations wore pink and organised a multitude of events to celebrate Pink Friday, which promotes LGBT+ inclusion in the workplace. Interactive booths, games and movie screenings helped educate employees about Pink Friday and other topics relating to the LGBT+ experience, while representatives from organisations such as Gay Games and Gender Empowerment were invited to talk about their work. First launched in 2014, Pink Friday is a multi-industry initiative that has expanded to over 100 organisations across the Asia Pacific region. Swire has pledged to create an inclusive environment where individuals can bring their whole selves to work without fear of discrimination or recrimination. By celebrating Pink Friday, we are visibly demonstrating our support for LGBT+ employees and encouraging all our staff to be visible allies.
