In Papua New Guinea, Steamships recently supported Divine Word University's "Environmental Awareness Campaign" day at Megiar Primary School by providing polo shirts and stationery for the students. The interactive event engaged over 300 students and teachers about urgent environmental concerns, focusing on coastal and mangrove ecosystems, as well as key issues such as waste management, deforestation, climate change, clean water and biodiversity. Activities included hands-on learning, presentations and creative role-plays to inspire eco-stewardship. The event concluded with a question-and-answer session, ensuring students had the opportunity to deepen their understanding and engage with the environmental topics discussed throughout the day.
