Swire Properties’ hugely popular BOOKS FOR LOVE @ $10 charity book sale made a triumphant return in May. Thanks to the support of more than 7,000 volunteers, over 300,000 books were collected, sorted and sold. The event attracted more than 50,000 book lovers and resulted in a record-breaking HK$1,376,591 being raised for charity partners. To encourage children’s interest in reading, two cosplay parades were held over the eight-day book sale, transforming Taikoo Place into an enchanted wonderland, as young readers brought fairytale characters to life.
