Staff from Swire Shipping and Swire Bulk trained hard over five months to prepare for “Adventure Race Japan 2025”, which took place in May. Both companies are Gold Sponsors of the event, which raises funds for the Mission to Seafarers, an organisation that provides frontline welfare and support to seafarers globally in areas where it is most needed. Twenty-one staff members (forming seven teams of three) took part in the challenge, held over two days on the Izu Peninsula, with both companies matching funds raised by the participants, dollar-for-dollar. Standout racers were Team Humility (Christopher Paul, Joanne McCahill and William Gamu) who came second in the Green Dragon Hikers Race out of 51 teams. To date Swire Shipping has raised more than US$65,000 for this meaningful cause.
