Swire has renewed its partnership with The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, as Founding Patron of the Greater Bay Area Youth Orchestra (“GBAYO”). The GBAYO brings together outstanding young musicians from Greater Bay Area cities, and over the past three years has provided training for 279 musicians aged between 16 and 28. This season has welcomed the orchestra’s first overseas guest conductor, Maestro Christoph Koncz, who commended the promising young musicians on their passion and eagerness. The GBAYO’s concert tour in July included performances in Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
