United States Cold Storage is targeting September 2026 for completion of the new automated Phase IV expansion to its Bethlehem, Pennsylvania facility. USCS Bethlehem serves key northeast markets, including New York City and Washington DC, as well as growing southeast markets in Virginia, and North Carolina. The new 7.6 million-cubic-foot automated section will add 23,436 pallet positions, including frozen storage (0°F to -5°F), all operated by an automated storage and retrieval system with five cranes, as well as a dock area with 16 truck doors. On completion, the Bethlehem facility will offer 13.3 million cubic feet of traditional refrigerated and frozen storage with 45,000 pallet positions.
