Expansion in Vietnam

Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam has opened a new bottling plant, its largest, at Tay Ninh, northwest of Ho Chi Minh City. With a total investment of US$136 million, the new South Plant sets new benchmarks for innovation and sustainability, as the first food and beverage production facility in Vietnam to be awarded LEED v4 Gold certification for building design and construction. It is equipped with five high-speed production lines, smart energy monitoring systems, advanced water recovery technologies, a 6MW (megawatt) rooftop solar power system and a 10-tonne biomass boiler. The plant adopts a wall-to-wall production model and smart technologies to optimise operational efficiency and is integrated with key supply chain partners to further reduce carbon emissions. The opening of the new plant brings to three the number of bottling facilities operated by Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam, which has been producing brands of The Coca-Cola Company for over 30 years; the company was acquired by Swire Coca-Cola in 2023. A highlight of the launch event was the opening of Vietnam’s first Coca-Cola Museum, celebrating the brand’s journey and connection with local communities.
