Cathay has announced that it is exercising its options to purchase an additional 14 Boeing 777-9 aircraft, bringing its total commitment to 35 of these aircraft. The new order increases Cathay’s current investment programme to well over HK$100 billion, which also includes cabin and lounge products, and digital innovation. In the coming years, Cathay will open revamped and new lounges in Hong Kong and New York and has recently unveiled a redesigned flagship lounge at Beijing Capital International Airport.
