HAECO Americas has announced the construction of its fifth hangar at Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro, North Carolina. The new facility will cover an area of some 250,000 square feet, at a cost of US$60 million, and will provide up to 500 new jobs when at full capacity. When complete, it will be the largest of HAECO Americas’ hangars and will be capable of holding eight narrow-body aircraft, or two wide-body and two narrow-body aircraft simultaneously. Hangar completion is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2017 and it will be ready for its first customer aircraft in January 2018.
