Finlays Colombo has recently made several in-kind donations as part of its ongoing efforts to support the needy in local Sri Lankan communities. Plastic chairs were donated to a community centre to provide seating for children attending English classes sponsored by Finlays and a digital copier was donated to a school adjacent to Finlays' green tea factory in Colombo. Considered a luxury by most Sri Lankan schools, the new copier will assist teachers to prepare test papers and other teaching material. Meanwhile, 25 bedside lockers were presented to the National Institute of Mental Health in Angoda, in response to the hospital's request for help in improving the facilities of its women's ward. These small contributions have helped make a difference to these worthwhile organisations that in turn aim to make a big difference in the lives of needy members of the local community.
