HAECO Veterans Club celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2016. Established by HAECO in 1986, the Club was a first-of-its-kind in Hong Kong, with a clubhouse facility serviced by full-time staff, taking care of the needs of retired staff members and their spouses. Today, the Club has over 2,200 members and provides a wide range of activities, including singing, table tennis, snooker, Chinese calligraphy, Cantonese opera and Latin dance, and organises the annual Spring Dinner, which is the highlight of the year. The Club also encourages its members to participate in community services, by working with charitable organisations and visiting the elderly.
A celebratory party, featuring singing and dancing performances by Club members, was held in October, attracting 200 guests, who were joined by Swire Pacific Chairman, John Slosar, HAECO Group Chief Executive Officer, Augustus Tang, Group Director Airframe Services James Barrington, as well as Director and General Manager – Hong Kong Operations Ronald Lam.
