Further investment in healthcare

Swire Pacific has made an investment in DeltaHealth, a healthcare provider on the Chinese Mainland specialising in cardiovascular care. Swire is now the second largest investor in DeltaHealth after founding partner, Eight Roads, a proprietary venture capital fund backed by Fidelity. DeltaHealth operates Shanghai DeltaHealth Hospital, a general hospital focusing on cardiovascular diseases, as well as DeltaWest Clinic, an outpatient clinic in the Gubei area of Changning district.

The investment comes during a period of rapid growth for DeltaHealth, which was established in 2016. In 2020, DeltaHealth Hospital performed 294 aortic surgeries, ranking it in second place amongst all hospitals in Shanghai. This is Swire Pacific's third investment in the healthcare sector; additional interests include investments in Columbia China Healthcare Co. Limited and Shenzhen New Frontier United Family Hospital.
