An honourable draw was declared at the conclusion of the annual TaiFoong Trophy golf tournament between Swire and HSBC, held on 12th October at the Shek O Country Club. Pat Healy, Chairman of Cathay Pacific and Swire Coca-Cola, was the winner of the nearest-to-the-pin award and Swire Properties Sales Manager, Residential Overseas, Thomas Rhodes got the longest drive award. “TaiFoong” is an amalgam of the two organisations’ Chinese business names: Taikoo (“Great and Ancient”) and Wayfoong (“Abundance of Remittances”). The event celebrates the strong ties between two of Hong Kong’s oldest companies.
