The White Christmas Street Fair, Swire Properties’ year-end community celebration, opened on 2nd December after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19. Featuring a Taikoo Sugar Refinery-inspired theme, the event has once again raised funds for Operation Santa Claus, one of the largest charitable donation drives in Hong Kong. The four-day event was conceived, designed, and run by Swire Properties Placemaking Academy students: seven local university students, who took part in a six-month apprenticeship that involved collaboration with Swire Properties staff, designers, and community stakeholders to bring their ideas to life.
