Keeping the coast clear

Team members at EAST Miami have been coming together each month to support their local environment through a volunteer beach clean-up at Virginia Key in Miami, USA. Organised by the hotel’s People & Culture team, the initiative recently marked its one-year milestone, with colleagues from across departments volunteering their time to help keep Miami’s coastline clean. Since launching last year, the team has collectively removed over 360kg of litter from the shoreline. The monthly activity has become a meaningful way for team members to connect outside the workplace while contributing to the local community, and EAST Miami plans to continue the initiative as part of its ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility.
