Revamped Swire Scholarships continue educational legacy

In April, the Swire Trust unveiled the newly refreshed Swire Scholarships portfolio, which offers more comprehensive support for young people pursuing higher education worldwide. The new scholarships cover programmes from post-secondary to postgraduate level in Hong Kong, the UK and the Chinese Mainland. One highlight is the brand-new Swire Youth Scholarship, which assesses young people’s character and personal circumstances, enabling them to achieve their educational dreams despite the financial constraints they may face. Swire’s commitment to education began in the early 1900s when Swire donated £40,000 towards the establishment of The University of Hong Kong. Today, that commitment continues through a wide variety of scholarship programmes, as well as professorships. The global community of Swire Scholars cultivated over the past century carries the spirit of excellence forward, serving and enriching society in different ways.
