Cathay Pacific’s first-ever direct passenger flight between Hong Kong and Almaty will take off on 9th January 2027. This will be the airline’s first destination in Central Asia and the only direct passenger service linking Hong Kong and Kazakhstan.

As Kazakhstan’s commercial and cultural capital, Almaty serves as an important gateway to Central Asia, offering opportunities for trade, business and tourism.

The addition of the city to Cathay Pacific’s network underlines the Cathay group’s commitment to strengthening Hong Kong’s position as a leading international aviation hub and enhancing connectivity with important Belt and Road markets.
