Double win for HAECO’s component services team

HAECO received two honours at the MRO Asia-Pacific Awards 2026 in September. The company was named "Asia MRO of the Year – Component Services", while former Group Director of Components and Engine Services, Sandra Nieuwenhuijzen received the "Lifetime Achievement Award".

The component services award adds to HAECO's earlier titles in the engine category in 2024 and airframe in 2025, rounding out recognition across its core service lines.

Nieuwenhuijzen's award marked a career spanning more than 40 years in the industry. A pioneer of Lean transformation and an advocate for diversity, she retired in June.

Organised by Aviation Week Network, the MRO Asia-Pacific Awards recognise excellence and innovation across 10 categories in the aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul sector.
