The HAECO group, along with Sun Group, Toyota Tsusho and Japan Airlines, will establish a new maintenance facility at Van Don International Airport in Vietnam.

The US$360 million project will be one of the largest in the country, centred on a four-bay widebody hangar, with options for narrowbody maintenance in the mid-bays. Sustainability principles will be built into the facility's design from the outset, reflecting HAECO's commitment to responsible operations.

Operations are due to begin in late 2028 and the project is expected to create over a thousand highly skilled jobs. Training and capability-building programmes are planned to create a sustainable pipeline of local talent.
