Life at sea, as seen by Swire's seafarers

A collage of crew members’ photos showcasing life at sea.

To mark Day of the Seafarer in June this year, crew members from Swire Shipping and Swire Bulk’s owned vessels were invited to share a glimpse of their world through photography.

Day of the Seafarer is an annual celebration organised by the International Maritime Organization and recognises the unique contribution made by seafarers from all over the world.

The photographs were nothing short of inspirational. From breathtaking ocean vistas and behind-the-scenes portraits of work onboard, to moments of camaraderie and quiet reflection on the water, they offered a powerful perspective on the individuals running operations on board and the realities of living at sea. The images and stories offer a valuable reminder of the professionalism, resilience and spirit that define the Swire seafaring community.
