Nurturing a new generation

Ten students spent six weeks this summer interning with Swire companies in the Chinese Mainland. Working across four companies in six cities, they gained hands-on experience under the Hong Kong SAR Government's HYAB Scheme on Corporate Summer Internship on the Mainland and Overseas.

For Lucius, who was interning at HAECO Xiamen, the benefits of his experience extended well beyond his day-to-day responsibilities. He had the opportunity to learn about business tea etiquette, as well as take part in team-building exercises with colleagues. These varied activities made his internship both enriching and memorable.

Swire has supported the scheme since it began in 2018, giving promising students exposure to a range of industries through placements within its operating companies.
