Swire Bulk has renewed its long-term agreement with K+S, one of Europe's leading producers of potash, a key constituent in the production of fertilisers. Swire Bulk's relationship with K+S originated with Hamburg Sud, a business acquired by the Swire Group in 2019.

In a fitting toast to the renewal, representatives from both companies, including Sam Swire, Chairman of Swire Bulk and Peter Norborg, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, gathered to sign the contract at K+S's potash mine in Merkers, Germany. In a first for the Swire Group, pen met paper 800 metres below ground, deep in a mine. The visit reinforced a partnership that continues to support both companies' success and global agricultural supply chains. Swire Bulk is proud to transport these commodities from Germany to customers in Brazil, ensuring a dependable flow of cargo from mine to market.
